An Etsy Anniversary and a gift with a twist

update: Contest in now closed....I'll draw a winner shortly!

Tomorrow marks my 3rd anniversary on etsy. It's changed my life and opened doors unimagined. So, my friends, I have an amazing gift with a twist.
.
The winner of my custom vintage map necklace give-a-way gets to give away one of my necklaces. Are you with me? It's a pay it forward type gift.
.
Here's how it works: Leave a comment on my blog. You can tell me who you'd like the necklace to go to and why. Or, it can be a surprise and you can just stop by and say hello. We can work the details out later.
.
If you follow my blog, you get an extra entry.
.
If you tweet this, and follow me "sosherrytweets", you get an extra entry.
.
This contest is open to everyone and closes at 12:00 noon EDT 4.23.10
.
Thanks for 3 wonderful years.
.
Have a great weekend and kiss the ones you love.
xoSherry

How wonderfully generous of you! I would love to be entered. I have a dear friend that I have never met in person...only over the internet though a strange set of Craig's List circumstances....funny story. Nancy and I have much in common. We are long distance soul sisters.

She had cancer...while in treatment..her husband was diagnosed with cancer also. Their attitudes and their love of life and of others amazed me even during such difficult times. I have never known anyone like this couple. Pat, the husband passed away a few weeks ago. Nancy is doing her best to figure out this new chapter in her life. If I won, the necklace would go to Nancy. It would symbolize her strength and her new direction...whatever it may be.

Thanks for the great contest and congratulations on three amazing years and for the many more to follow!

Sherry, congrats on your 3rd anniversary. Such an accomplishment!

I love all your work, so this is going to be a tough one, but if I won I'd have to give the necklace to one of my dearest friends whose birthday is coming up in June.

She would treasure a handmade necklace, especially a vintage map. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

hi, since i've read the comments, i decided that if i win, i'd like you to contact Kathy to give it to her very good friend who had cancer and her husband just passed away. So, my winning goes to Nancy, ok??

I have a friend going through a bit of a "crap stage", so if I win I'd like it to go to her. A sweet little surprise from your shop might help to shake off the funk.

Thanks!

I am the proud owner of one of your necklaces but I would love to give one to my lovely daughter who is off working her first real job since graduating from college and the other would be for my Mother who is such an important part of my life.

Thanks for the opportunity. again...

I love the idea of paying it forward, especially when the recipient has no idea of your 'plan'. :) A good friend introduced me to my husband, thinking we'd make a good match He couldn't have been more right. I in turn 'paid it forward' to my little sister, by introducing her to the man that is now her fiance. She's had such a rough time with several severe medical issues, and she's only 27! To see her now, so healthy and happy, brings me so much joy.
For that reason, I'd give the second necklace to her. Without a doubt.

Hey Sherry! Congrats on three wonderful Etsy years! It's so inspiring to read about your success on your blog and know that you have done well with your work!

I've been following your blog for a while now, and I'm excited about your giveaway. If I won, I'd give your necklace to my daughter who has a birthday (her 29th!!!) on June 1. She is on the Autism Spectrum, but she is able to live alone and while her life is very simple, she is happy with it. We had rough years with her while she was little, and she wasn't diagnosed until after she graduated from high school (I homeschooled her the last four years because she just fell through the cracks in public school and it was so hard for her, socially and educationally). She is a marvel to me because she has grown so and worked very hard to be independent. She is so generous and kind, volunteering with old folks and working with little kids at her church. She meets each challenge she faces (and she has faced many!) with a smile and with determination. Because of the issues she has due to autism, she isn't a traveler at all, though she loves to read about and see pictures of far-away places, so having one of your map necklaces would be a very cool thing for her.

Thanks for the giveaway, and good luck to all!

I would give this necklace to my best friend from high school because we went to Italy together over spring break freshman year, and that is when we became best friends. I'd love to especially get a map of Italy that shows Pelago in Tuscany. That was our favorite part of the trip.
Thank you for the giveaway :)

Our daughter and grandson used to live in the same town (in California) as my husband and I. It's where we lived when our grandson was born almost 16 years ago. Three years ago they had had to move to Ohio where our daughter was able to get a much better job. Our grandson really misses it here, and I would love a map pendant to give to him to remind him of his "home".

Congrats on 3 years!!

Congratulations and Happiest Anniversary!

Like so many others these days, I have a wonderful friend who I have not YET met in person - but feel like I have known her all my life! She grew up on the British Island of Jersey - during the time it was occupied by the Germans (Nazis).

She is also a jewelry maker - but has never made anything like your marvelous Map Necklaces!

I would love to gift her with a Map Necklace of her beloved Isle of Jersey.
