Overheard

The Scene: My dining room filled with my son's high school track team eating pizza

Overheard: Hey, Dan....how come your mom lets us use real dishes?
Because my mom is eco-friendly.
Oh, cool.

Cool.

Fun!!! Isn't it fun to listen to young men. I loved it when my son came home with his football friends to eat of course. I am envious. My son is off at school and I miss him..

I was actually quite surprised but proud when he said that, and equally gratified that his friend thought it was cool.

Love it Sherry! I host a youth group of 7th and 8th graders once a week for dinner and we use "real dishes" too. Now, I know I will continue to use them, even when I'm tempted to use paper plates. Thanks for the reminder about being eco-friendly, not to mention the fact that it is less expensive.

Cool! Proud of you! (my husband is always pushing paper plates. I would never even buy them, hate them on many levels)
