Thank you kindly for your thoughts and prayers for our friend Aaron and his family. It will be a long road to recovery, but the news is good. He will be able to fly home on an air ambulance of sorts on June 1st. It seems that they are actually waiting to fill the plane with patients and their families.
He suffered a concussion and is dizzy, but alert. Melinda says the dizzy part happened long before the accident. He lost part of his ear and broke his femur. He will need multiple surgeries to repair his hand.
And yet, counts his lucky stars to be on the planet. That's just the kind of guy he is.
Strap on those helmets whether for cycling or horseback riding and kiss the ones you love,

Thanks for the update Sherry- I have been thinking about him and his family. Will glad to hear when he is back home.
That is such good news. I wish them all the best.
So glad to hear that Aaron will be ok - I've been praying for him and his positive outlook will help him pull through ok. xx
So glad to hear he is doing better. While we were in Moab, we found that there are so many extreme mountain bike trails. (we only did vehicle off-roading) I was amazed at the skill of the cyclists, but the mom in me was so much on alert...and worried about their safety.
I, too, have been thinking about Aaron and sending my healing thoughts to him and his family! Thanks for the update and YES wear those helmets!!!!

I was so upset reading your 1st Aaron post I couldn't comment and now I am thrilled to hear he'll be okay. My adult son rides and I just told him to not tell me when he goes out. Despite a helmet, his broken collarbone last year was a serious warning.
