Glass Half Full

I really am a glass half full type of girl. So much so that my husband tries to keep all four of our feet firmly planted on the ground because I am so optimistic.
I have had an extremely long run of good luck for which I am simply grateful. I believe that even if you work really hard and do the right things, there has to be a bit of magic to bring it all together.
And while a bit of rain may fall, it rarely dampens my spirits. The last few days however, a tornado arrived on my doorstep just to keep me on my toes.
1. My son had his first car accident. Everyone is ok.
2. The moving van of our new neighbors snapped off a giant limb from my favorite sugar maple.
3. The dog jumped onto the breakfast room table and ate a piece of chocolate, that I was actually saving for myself. He's ok too.
4. I took an hour for a serious ride and fell off my bike. I'm fine. Well I have a little "road rash" on my thigh and cheek. Bob says no one will mess with me for awhile.
So, I guess that's about it. You'll have to excuse me while I fill my glass again. Evaporation is a bitch.

I am a half full girl myself and I always find something positive in every situation. It drives people crazy and they truly think there is something wrong with me. At work they call me Pollyanna. :) Glad everyone is ok.

I just read your last post. That is just the most awesome thing. Not only are the earrings wonderful, but now the whole world knows what fantastic work you do! Congratulations!!

Sherry, Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Please come visit anytime. I just came over to say thanks and started reading down thru your posts. CONGRATULATIONS on your map earrings being showcased in People. I am such a huge Twilight fan. I'm so glad everyone is ok at your house. The story about your dog and the chocolate reminded me of the time our son's dog ate 8 - yes, 8 chocolate bars late one night that Son was selling for band. Luckily it did not have an adverse effect on the dog but because Son had been told several times to put the candy up before going to bed, it had an adverse effect on Son. We made him fork up the $ for the candy instead of bailing him out. Thanks again for visiting my blog. I'll definitely be back to yours.

You've gotta have those bad times to make the good times that much sweeter! Hope the world is back in order now and everyone is doing better.

and i thought i was the only one who is overly optimistic! your success is earned by hard work and your luck is earned through karma. :) glad to hear everyone is still happy and healthy and not too injured from the tornado of events!

I am a realist... happy there's still water in the cup... but very aware that half is already gone...and making a plan to fix it!

And it's refreshing to be around optimists.

I hope next week is spectacular!

Glad that your son is OK.
I think that your tree will be OK and not look so bad eventually. One of our maples got damaged in a bad storm a few years ago. Part of it was torn off. John wanted to cut it down; it looked so bad. Now, a few years later, she looks fine. A scar on the trunk, but the bare area grew in.
I'm a glass 1/2 full girl too, although sometimes I have to remind myself of that. :)

Oh my goodness...so glad that everyone is ok. Perhaps that's your little blip on the radar for many years to come. So, I wonder how much the canyon has changed since you took your pictures? ...probably not much...

LOL, fill it with some Merlot!

Hopefully things will stay calm for awhile after all that!
