.
This is a short story to tie up loose ends and start your weekend with a smile.
.
Remember when I held a little contest on my 3rd etsyversary? Scroll back to April 16th, it's not that far and read the first entry from Kathy.
.
Kathy didn't win the necklace for her friend Nancy (although Rebecca won for her beautiful daughter) but I couldn't get Nancy and Kathy out of my mind.
.
Apparently I was not the only one. I decided to make her a necklace anyway and Kathy contacted her to find a meaningful place that would have memories of her husband. Beijing.
.
Then Brittany, my lovely customer and now cyberfriend sent me a note and asked to contribute towards the necklace, and then another friend wrote and wanted to do the same thing.
.
I sent the completed necklace to Kathy and told her the story and she in turn sent the necklace to Nancy along with the story.
.
Today, the mail brought a giant box. It was from Nancy. Along with a truly lovely note came handmade oatmeal soap from her family farm. She also included two boxes for me to send to the other women as a small thank you.
.
I am humbled by her generosity and give pause to know how 5 women became connected from a small post, on a small blog in the cosmos.
.
Have a weekend filled with joy and kiss the ones you love,
xoSherry

Thank you Sherry.....It still brings tears to my eyes when I think about how this all came about. I have never personally met any of you....in fact, I have never met Nancy. Yet somehow our lives all intertwined and you all have a very special place in my heart.
Thanks again my friend....
I had planned to share the story on my blog once your package arrived. I will be doing so next week.
Acts of kindness go a long long way.
Wonderful story Sherry- the power of a personal connection on the internet is amazing- this world really is so small!
xo- Cat :)
Beautiful! These are the things that bring so much joy in doing what we do. When we make a connection like this that is so personal, it makes this job even more special.

That is so awesome. I love this story. Thank you for sharing.
It's things like this that always has me wanting to read blogs...it closes the gap between so many of us and distance. You begin to realize that the world is very small...many of us are caring and loving people.
