Happy Mother's Day

For a short time before my mom became a wife and a mother she was a model. She's second from the right holding the black tafetta dress. I love this photo because she looks so beautiful, so self assured.
.
On days like today I miss her, but I know she would just love how my life is turning out.
.
I hope your mother's day is sweet and simple and reminds you why this is one of the paths you've taken.
.
Kiss the ones you love,
xoSherry

what a lovely Mother's day photo and blog post, Sherry; I miss my mom, too on days like Mother's Day (which is still tomorrow in my time zone) but also it gives me a chance, as you say, to think of her liking how my life is!

Yes, they would have been friends! Your mom is beautiful! Missing mine too today and thinking her only disappointment in my life right now would be that I don't cook more often- because she loved trying new recipes! Have a wonderful day Sherry- bundle up!

Sherry, I'm in love with that photo. It's so special on so many levels. On Mother's Day, I always think about those of us whose moms are no longer here.

I know she would be very proud of you, you're such an exceptionally fine woman.

xoxo

Such a wonderful photograph... in memory for you as well as a lovely glimpse into the past for us! I miss my mom every day; she's been gone for 34 years almost to the day. Her last Mother's Day was pain-filled from cancer, but she still smiled when we gave her the gifts we'd bought for her. I'm so thankful that I have lived to see my own three kids grow into their 20s, and I hope to see them into many more years too!
