Lonely Driveway

This is my driveway, my lonely driveway. My teenage son got his license about two weeks ago and I let him take my car to school today. He mentors kids at a nearby grade school during his 8th period. So, it made sense, right? If you have a teenager then you know how I feel. And don't ask your husband. He'll just say, "Oh, hon, you gotta let him do it." If you don't, just remember back to when you were a teenager.
He sent me a text message to say he's fine, I love you, and he got a great parking spot. Ah, life was simpler then, wasn't it?
Off to make a cup of tea and then up to my studio.

First of all your house is adorable.
Second of all I have a teenage daughter who is behind the wheel of a car on a continual basis. I have many issues with this fact, all of which I keep to myself most of the time. Well, the inevitable happened, she had an accident...totally demolished her friend's parent's mailbox, but no one was hurt, thank God.BTW, most insurances cover the cost of destroyed mailboxes, but check your policy just in case ;-) I will pray for you. Thanks for visiting my blog!

I also love your house. My son recently got his learners permit but he doesn't want to drive. And he's seventeen. I think I scared him!

I love your lonely driveway, it reminds me SO much of our old house in Philadelphia. And I have a teenage son who gets his drivers permit this summer. I'll probably have to go on medication....

My kids are all still little but I am sure that I will be pretty sad when they start heading out in a car on their own.
