when you are an artist in business

the world is really a small place. My signature piece is a spirit level bracelet. I have always had trouble finding quality levels for my jewelry, so I began to look overseas.
After a two month negociation, some language and custom barriers to overcome, I purchased the levels from a lovely family owned business.
Much to my delight, red levels, a new color for me were included in my shipment.
Once I made my first bracelet, I sent a photo of it to my contact at the company.
She was so pleased with it that she ordered bracelets for her entire family.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

What a cool bracelet. Who would have ever "thunk" it?!

This is a clever bracelet. My husband would never wear a bracelet, but if he would, I would come back for yours in a heartbeat.

Very clever creation!

PS- I'm a Canna... Ironically, I don't care for Cannas too much- the ones I had needed to be dug up for wintering, and I'm sorry, that's just too much work for me. So what does that say about me??

I love gardening too! I have pics in my Flickr acct http://www.flickr.com/photos/7423291@N04/sets/72157600263082542/ :)
My son and I have raised many a Black Swallowtail, so we're also into butterflies as well (there seem to be so many more these last couple of years... or maybe it's just my garden makes them happy).

Where in Jersey are you? I'm in Rahway (yes, near the prison!)

I've bookmarked your blog and I'll check in often!
